Rope Climbing

Top rope climbing refers to climbing with a rope anchored from above. Vertical View offers a one-hour “Belay On” course that teaches new or returning climbers how to tie in with a figure-eight follow-through and learn to belay using the PBUS method.

Lead climbers "lead" the rope to the anchors, clipping into quickdraws along the way. This is a more advanced style of climbing/belaying which requires you to take our four-hour "Lead It" course or pass our lead climbing test.
